The shape and thickness are two important indicators that measure the quality of steel plate. With the development of AGC technology, the problem of vertical thickness difference has been solved basically. Compared with the thickness, the shape control develops slowly. Thus, the research of strip shape becomes extremely necessary.The strip shape can be controlled by some advanced equipment. Of course, it also can be controlled by some strip shape calculation model. Considering control equipment is expensive, and it is difficult to popularize. This topic research which is based on the strip calculation model as the research object analysis and compare the several existing kinds of strip shape calculation model in order to provide some references for Engineers and technicians. Besides, according to the main factors that influence the strip shape and artificial intelligence method, the topic research establishes a new strip shape calculation model. Meanwhile, it uses the experiments and finite element method to compare the new strip shape calculation model with the existing model and to verify the accuracy of the new model and prove the advantages of the new model.In a word, this topic research can give some suitable calculation models to engineers and technicians who need to solve problems about strip flatness calculation model application. The establishment of the new model can give technicians more choices so that the strip shape can be effectively controlled, thus, the quality of strip production can be improved.
