The reach in this paper is sponsored by the National Natural Science Fundation project " Research on bionic coupling model of die casting die surface enhanced by laser strengthening research"(No. 51275468). Die life is increased by strengthening the first failure region of the die casting mould,using laser bionic processing technology, with the combination of thermal fatigue test and CAE analysis, The main contents are as follows:Several natural biological model are extracted as the main failure mode of die-casting mould, such as dot-shape bionic mode, striation-shape bionic and diamond–shape bionic, etc. Electromagnetic Induction thermal fatigue experiment, the liquid aluminum heat fatigue and high temperature friction and wear experiments is separately used to select the best thermal fatigue resistance and thermal friction resistance of the laser bionic model, and results show that the rectangular-shape bionic mode is proved to get the best results. Then, CAE analysis is proved to be feasible to forecast the failure district of the die-casting die in actual production. Finally fatigue area is strengthened by rectangular-shape bionic model selected in the thermal fatigue experiment and hot friction and wear experiment, which is predicted in CAE for another pair of casting mould. In actual production die-casting die service life is doubled, which is strengthened after the laser bionic treatment, than the untreated one, This method can bring substantial benefits to the enterprise.
