The content of heavy metal in soil is strongly influenced by human activities such as the speeding up of urbanization, development of industrial and transportation. To reveal the effects of human activities on soil environmental quality, such as urbanization and industrialization, we’ve made the main district of Kunming in ecological geochemical investigation of soil heavy statistical data elements, and draw a single-element anomaly map of the study area and the 1987’s anomaly map comparative analysis of temporal and spatial variation characteristics; the situation assessment of soil contamination in the study area is mainly using a single factor pollution index and Nemerow pollution index method and have a discussion based on the degree of contamination in different SAR; used SPSS22 data correlation analysis and factor analysis and thus the source of heavy metal pollution has been parsed. The main conclusions are as follows:1. Heavy metals in research area as As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb and Zn content is high degree of dispersion distribution and each element has varying degrees of enrichment if compared to soil and soil background values Kunming China A layer averages; The main sources of heavy metal pollution in soil are affected by industrial and transportation. Eight of these heavy metals content are greater impact by smelter, in addition to transportation factors also affect Cu, Hg, Pb, Zn content of the soil to a certain extent.2. Content data for the study area of heavy metals analysis concluded that this area of high content of heavy metals in soil and extreme values are mostly located in the non-ferrous metal smelting, machining and other factories and traffic congestion area.3. Through the analysis of heavy metals in the soil in the study area of spatial and temporal variation can be drawn:on the elements in terms of value, compared to the value of the content of heavy metals in the soil of the normal background values in Kunming City in 2007 and 1987 survey sample collection, the value changed little comparison and analysis of the soil geochemical anomaly map, in soil survey twice, moderately heavy metals and heavy polluted area are mainly locate in Ciba-Second Ring Road-west of Fu Bao village, and pollution of heavy metals in the soil of eight expand the area in varying degrees.4. Heavy Metal Pollution evaluation showed that heavy metal contamination in the soil in the study area is more serious, and pollution area is large. Single factor pollution index evaluation showed that, Cd contaminated topsoil worst, followed by Cu and Ni contamination; heavy metal pollution is not the same in different administrative regions, Xishan District and Wuhua District are more serious polluted, Guandu District and Panlong District are lesser contaminated. The evaluation results by Nemerow pollution index also shows that the soil in the study area has been polluted to varying degrees in most areas, most areas of Xishan District and Wuhua District presented moderate and severe soil contamination, degree of heavy metal contamination in Panlong District and Guandu District are lesser.Using correlation analysis and factor analysis method analysis of soil heavy metal pollution sources can be drawn:(1) Correlation analysis showed that the soil in the study area of heavy metals as As, Cd, Cu, Hg, Pb, Zn are strong overall correlation, Cr and Ni there was a significant positive correlation and may be homologous relationship; (2) The analysis of factor shows that the topsoil to control sources of heavy metals in the study area has two main factors, namely:As, Cd, Cu, Hg, Pb, Zn which are controlled by industrial and transportation factors in the study area, Cr and Ni are mainly affected by industrial pollution in the study area, the results of cluster analysis and factor analysis results are identical with each other.
