Tailing is one of the products after sorting mineral, which is a discharge solid waste after sorting process, select the target "useful elements". is the main component of industrial solid waste. A lot of tail accumulation of ore bring enormous pressures to social and environment. This paper was prepared foaming ceramic materials by Iron Tailing, Through detection and analysis Cheng chao ore tailing basic properties, combined with the current preparation of foaming ceramic material theory, studied the feasibility of preparation foaming ceramic material by Cheng chao iron tailing secondly, Analyzed influence of different secondary blowing agent to the hole mechanism and agent,s content on the pore structure of the foaming ceramic; Then systematically studied the relationship between the composition and process with foaming ceramic materials, and finally by optimizing the formulation and process parameters, prepared with different performance to meet the different needs of foam ceramic material. The main results are summarized as follows:(1) Cheng chao iron tailing is a fine grade tailing which -200 mesh particles bout 70%,and the main chemical composition is basically the same with ceramic material construction, which will help prepare foaming ceramics material without dressing; This tailing release a amount of gas is at high temperatures which provide the material conditions for preparing ceramic foam material. But Cheng Chao iron tailing with narrower sintering, it is difficult to prepare a uniform pore structure, shape regular foam ceramic material when used alone.(2) Through adjusting the formula composition and process parameters can be prepared different foam properties of ceramic materials, content of glass should be below 30%, content of Cheng chao iron tail also should be controlled within 70%. The final foaming hole is separated by bubble wall which is the typical closed-cell structure.(3) Glass powder and silicon carbide is an important auxiliary foaming agent for prepare foaming ceramic material based on tailing, we can get ideal hole foaming ceramic material when both incorporated, Glass formed liquid phase at sintering process,which can rap the gas bubbles and formed pole, it is a necessary condition for the formation of foam bubble structure; silicon carbide can release gas through the reaction, which provide gas at a wide range of temperatures,it is sufficient and necessary conditions for the formation of foam ceramic material.(4) Use loose powder cloth craft without molding,we can get block of foam ceramic material with fired, which easy cutting into the shape of plates, tiles and so on.(5) Formula of Lightweight porous brick is:Cheng chao tailing 50%, quartz 10%, kaolinite15%, glass 25%, silicon carbide 0.1%, the firing temperature 1160℃. rupture strength strength of the final product is 18MPa, the bulk density is 1.4g/cm3; which reached JC/T 1095-2009 Standard.Formula of insulation boards is:Cheng chao tailing 60%, quartz 10%, kaolinite 10%, glass 20%, silicon carbide 0.4%, firing temperature is 1180℃, the rupture strength of the final product is 9MPa, the thermal conductivity of 0.05W/m.k (38℃).reached JG/T 042-2011 Standard.
