Durning continuous casting process center segregation and center porosity will induce the inner quality problems of slab, so it is necessary to find a method to reduce these defects. At present, S-EMS and dynamic soft reduction is the most effective method to prevent these problems.The cirtical parameters of S-EMS technology including Current frequence and manners.The main technical guidelines of soft reduction technology including Soft reduction position soft reduction amount and soft reduction rate. Embed S-EMS and Soft reduction has been studied in detail on this paper.Which String manners to be used decided by thickness of shell and steel grade properity.Soft reduction position decided by solidifying end.The area of fs=0.5-0.95 regarded as the soft reduction zone. While the position of fs=0(liquidus isotherm) and fs=1(solidus isotherm) fix, soft reduction position can be caculated. Generally, the aim surface temperature of one kind steel is storered in Level two database. While casting condition changed(casting speed, super heat and steelgrade).Process model control the secondiary cooling water volume to achieve the aimed surface temperature, Process model providers shell thickness of defined position, utilize thermal tracking model in order to set the double S process optimated parameters.
