Polyaniline is widely investigated in many fields because of its excellent properties. For a long time, the study of polyaniline is mainly based on the control of polyaniline’s morphology, such as nanotubes, nanoballs, nanoparticles and so on. The molecular structure itself of the polyaniline gives its different properties and morphology, which can be applied in various fields. Single polyaniline material is far from meeting the demand of researchers so people prefer various types of composite materials. Such as precious metals and materials of transition metal oxides with composite materials. These materials have good application in the field of catalysis and chemical sensors. The rod-like, fiber-like and leave-like polyaniline/manganese dioxide composite material were prepared with the use of the chemical oxidation method, and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high magnification transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD). And these composites have applied in catalytic degradation of organic dyes. The main work is as follows.(1) Manganese oxide/polyaniline composite was prepared by using potassium permanganate as strong oxidant to remove aniline in the wastewater, The best reaction conditions were got with a series of influent factors by calculating degradation of wastewater and COD. That the reaction between potassium permanganate and aniline is a second order reaction and easy to proceed according to kinetic equations. The solid produced in the lower layer of wastewater was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) transmission electron microscopy (TEM), infrared absorption spectrum (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and so on, which showed that rod-like polyaniline/manganese dioxide composite materials was sythesised.(2) The fiber-like polyaniline/manganese dioxide composite material prepared by chemical oxidation method, was calcined at different high temperature in N2 atomosphere which produced nitrogenous carbon manganese material. A layer of silicon dioxide was coated on the effection of its morphology through high-temperature calcinations. The protective layer of SiO2 can not be too think because the thickness of located SiO2 will have an effect on calcinations. The composite after carbonization characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high magnification transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared absorption spectrum (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy (Raman), was applied in the catalytic degaration of organic dye rhodamine B.(3) The leave-like polyaniline composed of nanofiber polyaniline and MnO2 in its holes was synthesized by using surfactant TX-100 and further calcinated at different low temperature in N2 atomosphere. The composite after carbonization characterized by scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared absorption spectrum (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy (Raman), was applied in the catalytic degaration of organic dye rhodamine B.
