This thesis contains four parts. Chapter â… . Introduction. Chapter â…¡. Studies on the interfacial composition and thermodynamics of Cn(Bim)2-2Br (CnmimBr)/alcohol/diesel/water microemulsion systems by dilution method. Chapter â…¢. Phase behavior of W/O microemulsion of C16mimBr(CTAB)/alcohol/diesel/water. Chapter â…£. Studies on the synergic effect of SDS and C16mimBr on the W/O diesel microemulsions.Chapter â… . IntroductionThis part introduces the formation and application of microemulsions and the research progress of the microemulsions containing diesel. The research progresses of ionic liquid type surfactants and Gemini surfactants were discussed. The dilution method of W/O microemulsion systems was also discussed.Chapter â…¡. Studies on the interfacial composition and thermodynamics of diesel oil microemulsions containing Cn(Bim)2-2Br and CnmimBrThe W/O microemulsions containing Cn(Bim)2-2Br (CnmimBr)//alcohol/diesel/water were prepared. The interfacial composition and thermodynamics of these systems were inveatigated by the dilution method.(1) As the carbon chain length of Cn(Bim)2-2Br or CnmimBr molecules increases, the values of-â–³Goâ†'io become larger. While Xao and Xai values decrease.(2) The W/O diesel microemulsions containing Cn(Bim)2-2Br have larger-â–³Goâ†'io values compared with the systems containing CnmimBr.(3) The values of Xai increase with temperature for the two kinds of microemulsion system. The values of Xao and-â–³Goâ†'io increase for the microemulsions containing Cn(Bim)2-2Br. while the values of Xao and-â–³Goâ†'o decrease for the systems containing CnmimBr.Chapter III. Studies on the interfacial composition and thermodynamics of diesel microemulsions containing C16mimBr or CTABThe interfacial composition and thermodynamics of the W/O diesel microemulsions formed by C16mimBr(CTAB)/alcohol/diesel/water were studied. The effects of alcohols, surfactants and temperature etc. on the physicochemical parameters were discussed.(1) butan-1-ol, pentan-1-ol and hexan-1-ol would be used as cosurfactants to form stable W/O diesel microemulsions, respectively.(2) As the carbon chain length of the alcohols increases, the spontaneity of the microemulsions increases.(3) With the increase in temperatures, the values of Xia and (?) decrease, while the values of Xoa increase. Chapter IV. Studies on the interfacial compositions and thermodynamics of the W/O diesel microemulsions built by the mixed surfactants C16mimBr and SDSThe interfacial compositions and thermodynamics of the W/O diesel microemulsions formed by the mixed surfactants C16mimBr and SDS were studied.(1) The W/O diesel microemulsions would be prepared within the ranges of the molar fractions of SDS to C16mimBr and SDS (XSDS)0-0.1and0.8-1.0.(2) Synergic effect exists between Ci6mimBr and SDS in the W/O diesel microemulsions. The values of a and a of the systems containing the mixed surfactants is smaller than those of the systems with a single surfactant, while the change trend of the value of (?) is on the contrary.(3) The spontaneity of the microemulsions (?) in the order 2-methyl-propan-2-ol> butan-2-ol>butan-1-ol...
