The history of utilizing underground salt cavern to store oil and gas’s cases has many years in foreign countries. With the developing of science and technology of our country, the demand for energy also grow up with the economy’s progress, the construction of underground salt gas storage cavern get a breakthrough development in our country. Because of the complex geological conditions in China, the overseas experiences of constructing underground gas storage cavern cannot be rigidly used to construct gas storage cavern in our country. This paper was wrote based on the theoretical and experimental researches of the former researchers, to study on the numerical simulation separately from the operating pressure of gas storage cavern and the bedded layer, and then analysed how does the two factors influence on the long-time stability of underground gas storage cavern. At last, establishing detailed3D geological model of Jintan underground salt gas storage cavern according to the layers data and sonar data.The3D model was used to study the stability of Jintan NOJK5-2cavern during operation period. The main contents are as follows:the nm1. Summarized the mechanical characteristics of salt rock and selected the corresponding creep constitutive model, and then compiled corresponding creep subroutine to apply the finite element software to numerical simulation2. Studied on the relationship between operating gas pressure and cavity shrinkage through establishing3D model without bedded layer, and gave the corresponding operating gas pressure of the model.3. Analysed the impacts that the changes of each index of bedded layer effect the shrinkage deformation of gas storage cavern from the aspects of elastic modulus, the thickness of layer and number of layers.4. Established actual geological conditions3D model of Jintan NO.JK5-2cavern through the layers data and sonar data of Jintan gas storage cavern groups, and then analysed the optimal operating pressure, emergency gas recovery scheme and the bedded layer’s influences of Jintan NO.JK5-2cavern through coupling operating pressure and bedded layer by numerical simulation.
