On Application Of Research On Ceramic Decoration Art And Its Application In Modern Clothing Design

Over the thousands of years, ceramic decoration art has formed its unique cultural style and reflected man’s pursuit of beauty and expressions of emotions in different eras. With the constant changes of fashion, more and more decorative elements are used in clothing design and play an increasingly important role in modern clothing design. Applications of ceramic decoration art continue to expand. Be it the Western ceramic decoration art or the one, it could be found in modern clothing design.This thesis elaborates on theories related to ceramic decoration art and modern clothing design. On the basis of that, the thesis tries to study the application of ceramic decoration art in modern clothing design. Starting from the application, the thesis examines and analyses the patterns, colors and textures of ceramic decoration art. While comparing Western and C hinese ceramic decoration arts, this thesis focuses on their application in the styles, colors, patterns and accessories of modern clothing through detailed analysis and practical cases. Exemplification method that combines theories and practices is employed in this thesis to examine how ceramic decoration art is applied in modern clothing design. This thesis is innovative in the following three aspects. First, it breaks through the conventional definition of way of thinking in modern clothing design and gives deeper analysis of and studies on the specific application of modern clothing elements based on ceramic decoration art. Also, its combination with practices gives readers fresh visual experiences. Second, various new techniques are tried, such as combining ceramics with fabrics, which not only enriches the way of designing clothes but also makes the clothes more special. In addition, to try to make ceramics part of a coat, fake collar for example, and to combine them with clothing fabrics creates a way of employing ceramics and provides people with fresh visual experiences. Third, diversified ways of mixing ceramic decoration art with modern clothing design improves the cultural values of clothes. By studying on the application of ceramic decoration art in modern clothing design, the thesis broadens and enriches the methods of designing modern clothes.
