This paper takes sticklac and dewaxing shellac as raw materials, which supplied by a company in YunNan. According to the solubility of shellac wax in ethanol decreasing with the temperature decreasing, prolapseding the shallac wax. Adding adsorbent into the dewaxed ethanol got dewaxed and decolored shellac. Preparation of shellac, shellac waste treatment were studied and the products were characterized in this thesis. The first part is that adding adsorbent into the dewaxed product and got the decolorizing dewaxed and decolored. Using UV determination the absorbance value to determine the depth of color, studied the effect of various adsorbents composition, different combination of dewaxing process on the adsorption decolorization, and also studied the influence of the decolorization frequency on the decolorization degree, determination the acid value, viscosity of some adsorption and decoloration rubber. The results show that adsorbent H is the best adsorption. Compared with the water particles gel dewaxing glue, the dewaxing process of factory had a negative impact on the decoloring performance. Through three decoloring process the chroma was better than German shellac SSB57. However, the hot life of the samples were measured and found that the hot life of the sample with good decoloring effect was very short, couldn’t reach the shellac used standard. The relative viscosity of the samples were lower than the German shellac SSB57.The second part is β-cyclodextrin, sodium carbonate, ethanol, Stick 0.9mm of activated carbon as raw materials, under the condition of the water bath pot 55℃, the ratio of shellac and water was 1:10 (g/ml). Putting β-cyclodextrin, ethanol, sodium carbonate into different concentration of solution to preprocess the shellac. The decolorizing material added to the pretreatment particles are studied, and the absorbance of the decolorization degree size.It is concluded that the best wash color concentration,p-cyclodextrin is 0.25g/L, sodium carbonate is 0.04g/L, ethanol is 15ml/L. The more colorwash in pretreatment, the color more shallow of the final disposition of shellac. The third part, shellac processing waste was modified by using epoxide, the principle of modification was Ring-opening addition reaction of reactive glycidyl groups in epoxy compound and the carboxyl groups in the Shellac Processing Waste(SPW). Triglycidyl isocyanurate(TGIC) and Epichlorohydrin (ECH) were employed as epoxide. The effects of combination conditions of the raw materials ratio, reaction temperature, time and the type of catalysts on the melting point, acid value, solubility and viscosity characteristics of modified product were investigated. 1.1687Result shows that TGIC as a modifier, the reaction temperature is 110℃, reaction time is 4h and the ratio of TGIC and SPW is 1:8, the maximum melting point is 104℃. When the reaction temperature reach to 110℃ and reaction time is 4h, the ratio of TGIC and SPW is 1:10, solubility and viscosity of the modified product is the best, the solubility in 0.3mol/L sodium carbonate solution is 94.5% and the relative viscosity of 1.1687. ECH as a modifier was selected, ethylenediamine was used as the crosslinking agent, the reaction temperature was 100℃, the reaction time was 8h, ECH and SPW ratio of 1:10, the product obtained in 0.3mol/L sodium carbonate solution, the relative viscosity of the maximum value of 1.1840. Compared the characters of the products obtained by two modifiers, It was found that curing effect of TGIC is more obvious.Electron microscopy, infrared and ultraviolet decolorization of shellac products and modified products were characterized, to analyze the change of composition, properties and structure.
