The application of fluidization technology has expanded to the treatment of solid waste and biomass fuel. Due to its advantages of flexibility, high combustion efficiency and low emission, fluidized bed has become the main equipment for solid waste combustion.Based on the experiment, a series numerical researches on the gas-solid two phase flow, mixing process of refuse derived fuel(RDF) and the bed materials, heat transfer and combustion characteristics are conducted, in which an Eulerian-Eulerian model based on KTGF(Kinetic Theory of Granular Flow) and specie transport combustion model are built to simulate the influencing factors and complicated process of RDF combustion in fluidized bed. The interaction between gas and solid and the evolution of bubbles were studied to describe the characteristics of gas-solid flow. The drag model was also investigated to evaluate the effect on the annul-core structure. The fluidization velocity is validated to affect the distribution and expansion of bed by the experiment. The temperature and velocity field have important function on the combustion and heat transfer efficiency. The simulation results have a good agreement with the experiment, which is of great value for practical project of RDF combustion in fluidized bed.
