With the ratio of continuous casting increasing year by year, refining is applied by large-scale The demand for clean steel increase sharply. Higher requirements of lining refractories for GOR furnace bottom is put forward. In recent years, unfired magnesium calcium carbon refractories become an excellent refractory for clean steel smelting because of saving energy,high temperature resistance, structural spalling resistance, purifying the liquid steel and other superior characteristics.In this experiment,sintered magnesia calcia sand,fused magnesia calcia sand, fused magnesia powder and graphite are main raw material,The anhydrous resin is binder,producing two kind of bricks.The conclusions are as follows:The apparent porosity is lower,cold compressive strength is larger,Reheating linear change is lower, Hot modulus of rupture is larger and Keep the rate of residual compressive strength is larger when aggregate are fused magnesia calcia sand.The effect is not ideal When MT-14 A is used in the GOR at the bottom.because erosion is serious at the bottom of GOR,So use life is short. Effect is better when magnesite chrome brick was used in GOR.Effect is good When One meters magnesia calcia carbon brick was used in GOR,no obvious crack in residual brick surface.The reason of damage is mechanical erosion under high temperature of molten steelof the magnesia calcia carbon.Microscopic analysis showed that the main reason of damage magnesia calcia carbon brick is spalling.Fused magnesia calcia sand and fused showed anti-erosion performance better,the slag erosion mainly along the grain bound.
