The coking plant of Taiyuan Iron and Steel(Group) Co Ltd in “construction of the first-class low carbon, green, energy-saving and environmental coking plant” vision for the enterprise, began to gradually introduce new technology of coking industry abroad since 2004, such as Germany’s 2x70 holes x 7.63 meters outsize coke oven technology with an annual output of 2.2 million tons of coke, Japan’s dry quenching technology, and Denmark’s technology of removal of sulfide and cyanide from coke oven gas. Due to the introduction of new technology, the coking plant of Taiyuan Iron and Steel(Group) Co Ltd walk in the forefront of the domestic coking industry on energy saving, consumption reducing and low carbon environmental protection, but also pay huge cost on the economic investment.Based on the coal moisture control(CMC)project,this essay systematically summarizes the related literature at home and abroad, to track and record the entire project preparation, construction, commissioning, optimization and operation of the whole process. In the process of operation,the debugging of problem,selection of operation parameters, and the result of the project implementation were described in detailed.Operation results show that,according to the contrast of external CMC and combined with their own actual situation,the using effect of the STD type steam tube dryer,self-developed SAF2507, SUS2507 specially used for wet coal drying machine manufacture and pipes, sheet is acceptable.The optimizing for the system of coal preparation,moisture regulation,feeding coal belt,carrying gas dedusting,condensate recovery under low pressure and the safety interlock is successful.This project,reducing moisture from 10.0% to 8.0%,increase the addition of weak caking coal 5%.In the coke oven operation,by gradually reducing coke oven heating temperature,heat consumption of coal coking and coking time reduces by about 30 min and 23KJ/Kg respectively,which means 2.71×1011KJ energy can be saved a year,and production capacity increases by 4%,meanwhile,biochemical sewage treatment load reduces by 11.5T/hr.Through statistical analysis of economic data in the whole year of 2010, the system of coal moisture control runs a year stably and produces remarkable economic and social benefits,which has a certainly popularization value in the coking industry.
