Ferritic stainless steel is a kind of non-Ni and low-Ni stainless steel, which is famous for excellent cold formability, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient. However there are some deficiencies existed either in the on-line production. Based on that 430(1Cr17),which are representative type of 400 ferritic stainless steel, combined with its microstructure and fracture morphology,different annealing processes impact on the mechanical properties and forming performance are selectively studied, which to improve the quality of ferritic stainless steel products further and provide theoretical basis for process parameters optimization.First, combined with the law of uniform elongation, fracture elongation, tensile strength and yield strength ratio varied in different annealing temperature and holding time to discuss the impact of different annealing process on mechanical properties,and analyzed the inner cause of the varied mechanical performance from the microstructure and fracture morphology.Second, compared with the varied trend of reaming and punching properties,which from forming test simulation: reaming and punching test. To research the effect of different annealing processes on the forming performance and analyzed the cause from two aspects: microstructure and mechanical performance index.Through the analysis and discussion on mechanical properties, microstructure,fracture morphology and formability at different annealing process, the following conclusion can be obtained: the better comprehensive mechanical performance and formability obtained in the process of the annealing temperature is 860 ℃ and holding time is 2 minutes. Combined with the on-line process, the following conclusions can be got:(1) the comprehensive performance of materials can be improved by the continuous annealing process, which is similar to box-type annealing.(2) the disadvantage of flatting is the most comprehensive performance parameters can be come down. If just consider it from the punching performance, flatting after annealing is more favorable.
