In extrusion process, the quality of aluminum alloy profile affected by many factors. And reasonable die structure design and the right extrusion parameters can be obtained more stable extrusion process and produce better organizational performance profile.In actual extrusion production, in order to control the profile production quality, designer often modified the length of bearing to control the profile extrusion speed, however, this approach is not a good solution to the problem of material quality, it also need to repeatedly test the mould and fix it, seriously, it may lead to the mould scrap, increasing the cost of production. At the same time, factory only concerned with the appearance of molding profiles in extrusion production, but neglected the material mechanical properties, it does not guarantee the strength requirements of the product.In this paper, based on Danboxiafang aluminum profile in the actual production prone to defects such as twisting, warping, optimized design of the original production moulds, and simulated by extrusion simulation software HyperXtrude. According to asymmetrical shape characteristics of the profile that left big but right small, on the basis of equal length with the bearing, choose a more suitable project to the production of porthole arrangement and welding chamber shape, investigate the impact of multi-stage welding extrusion process and optimize the extrusion process parameters. By means of the optimization for porthole and welding chamber to reduce or avoid bring changes to bearing.Simulation results show that, according to the characteristics of the profile to choose more reasonable mould can obtain better compression effect, the multistage welding is more advantageous to profile production. When using multi-stage welding mould, Increasing welding chamber series and the volume is beneficial for the metal flow, but the cross-sectional area of the similar welding chambers increased would reduce the impact of multi-level design of welding chamber. The forward multi-stage welding mold has the best quality for extrusion. For 6063 aluminum alloy, the high-temperature extrusion can get better quality materials, preheating temperature of the billet is the main factor affecting the metal flow stress, Improving billet preheating temperature could reduce the metal flow stress, improve extrusion maximum temperature, the grain sizes would be more concentrated.Comprehensive consideration of profile quality and economic benefit in actual production, should choose forward type plane diverted mold with 480 ℃ billet preheating temperature and 11 mm/s extrusion speed as the extrusion process parameters, that is more beneficial for the profile quality, production efficiency and extending the life of mold, and more suitable for production.
