Many of the advanced plants in nature usually contain a lot of coumarins, which not only has many medical properties and biological activity, but also has good optical properties. They can occurs light dimerization under 365 nm UV irradiation, so the light dimerization of coumarin compounds and their derivatives research and application has become a relatively hot research topic. In addition, the coumarin amphiphilic polymer which polymerized by coumarin compounds and other monomers polymer can be used in field of drug controlled release, and it has good development prospect in medicine. Given its more excellent performance and good prospects, coumarin derivatives are studied by the majority of researchers. In This thesis, the light-sensitive amphiphilic polymer PEO-b-P(MMA-CS) is prepared by ATRP to investigate the micellization and photo-crosslinking properties. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-NMR), UV spectrophotometer (UV), dynamic light scattering (DLS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were used. It was shown that the polymer could self-assemble into nanoaggregates in water and could be photo-crosslinked upon UV irradiation. Polymer micelles with Octylmaleimide (OM) encapsulation after different photo-cross-linked degree were mixed with the non-loaded polymer micelles, and the effect of cross-linking degree of coumarin on the immigration of OM was investigated using fluorescence emission measurement. The results showed that the immigration of OM between the micellar mixtures could be tuned by the crosslinking degree.
