The residual stress is internal stress which evenly exists in the object when there is no external force. The welding residual stress is resulted in the thermal stress caused by welding parts local rapidly heated to high temperature. In general all kinds of machining process, the welding is relatively easy to produce the residual stress, and it’s performance is more obvious. For welding structure, the influence of the residual stress is an important problem, its size and distribution will give bad influence on the brittle failure, fatigue, stress corrosion cracking and other various damages, in the history, many catastrophic destruction accidents are mostly caused by residual stress in structure. So, in order to prevent the accident and improve the reliability or life of the workpiece, it has great significance to accurately assess and detect the residual, especially the welding residual stress.In this paper, take the 5A06 aluminum alloy as the research object, study the technology of testing parameters optimization use X-ray diffraction method to testing residual stress of VPPA welding aluminum alloy. First to optimize the parameters to check the tablet 5 a06 aluminum alloy residual stress. First, optimize the parameters to test the 5A06 plate aluminum alloy residual stress, second, use the plate aluminum alloy parameters to direct the parameters optimization of testing the 5A06 welding aluminum alloy residual stress, and use the microstructure and abnormal data analysis method to further optimize the parameters. Last, contrast the X-ray diffraction method、the electron speckle-interferometry method and the strain gauge method to tentatively explore the technology of eliminating the system error of X ray diffraction method.
