It is very important to carry out the study of minor structure meticulous exploration and improve research degree and the prediction accuracy of joint,concealed fault and thickness change in coal seam, which has a vital significance for efficient and balanced gas drainage and effective prevention of coal and gas outburst and other geological disasters.According to theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, this paper analyzed the relationship joint system and permeability in coal seam. It shows that because of the difference of occurrence, mechanical properties and the close degree of the joint distributed in different parts of the coal mining panel in coal seam may change regularity with the affection of mining, which may affect the permeability change of the coal seam. Using this characteristic, we could predict the permeability of coal seam in different position of coal mining panel, and optimize the design of gas drainage of the coal mining panel.Some gas outburst mines in our country usually tunnel a stone drift under the coal floor in coal floor as the bottom degas drift of the coal mining panel, and implement a great of crossing boreholes for the advanced gas drainage of the coal seam in the bottom degas drift. The paper introduced the necessity of the exploration of the concealed minor structure utilizing the gas drainage project, and established the parameter calculation formula of all the crossing boreholes control points by the“Bottom degas drift + Crossing boreholes + Coal mining panel” exploration model in the coal seam roof(floor); excel inversion technique is used to calculate the control points 3d coordinates; through the Surfer software, this paper depicted the coal seam top(bottom) plate thickness contour map the coal face roof(floor) elevation isoline and the coal thickness change isoline, then judged and predicted the nature of the concealed minor fault, the fault throw and the coal thickness change within the scope of the design coal mining panel.Based on actual data in 1602 coal mining panel of Guhanshan Coal Mine, this paper proved the exploration and prediction method of concealed minor structure. It is concluded that we can acquired more easily and more accurately the control points 3dcoordinates by the crossing degas boreholes in the coal seam roof(floor), and could achieve the meticulous exploration and prediction of the concealed minor normal fault,minor reverse fault and coal thickness change.
