As a green ecological fiber, hemp fiber got some development and market with its Moisture absorption, air permeability, antibacterial and other fine properties. The demand of flax fiber is increasing, and along with the hemp fiber gradually got people’s recognition. It is urgent to seek alternative resources which is abundant and cheap resources with similar performance cause there is a strain on resources and the price is not stable in fibrilia. More and more experts and scholars began to seek and develop a kind of hemp fiber resources are abundant and the price is relatively cheap.China is rich in resources of kenaf fiber, but has not been effective development and utilization, mainly because of the single fiber is too short, poor spinning performance, kenaf fiber lignin and cellulose content is relatively high, and the internal structure of the complex, difficult to remove, colloid removal contradiction between technology and fiber fineness and length is difficult to reconcile. Traditional chemical degumming exist environmental pollution, in order to reduce the pollution of the environment, kenaf fiber was treated using steam explosion(STEX) treatment in this paper. In this paper, we study the STEX treatment to the appearance of kenaf fiber, chemical composition, crystallinity, degree index and the influence of polymerization, discusses the effect of STEX treatment for kenaf fiber. In addition, STEX pretreatment coupled with an alkaline oxygen degumming process was put forward in order to improve the effect of the degumming. The main contents and conclusions of this thesis are as follows:1, by steam explosion experiments discussed steam explosion treatment effect on the structure and properties of Kenaf fiber. Through chemical composition quantitative analysis, FTIR and SEM characterization methods of steam flash explosion treatment of kenaf fibers were characterized. The results show that, steam explosion treatment can effectively and significantly change the kenaf fiber morphology and structure, increase the fiber splitting degree, further degumming lay the foundation. However, too high pressure will lead to excessive fiber processing, which will lead to the decrease of fiber length, and the pressure need to be controlled in the appropriate range of steamexplosion..2, the XRD analysis of steam flash explosion treatment of kenaf fiber crystal structure. The results show that, the steam explosion treatment of kenaf fiber is cellulose I structure, along with the increase of steam explosion treatment conditions, kenaf fiber crystallinity increased gradually.3, using gel permeation chromatographic techniques for the analysis of the kenaf fiber degree of polymerization. The results show that, the steam explosion treatment of kenaf fiber polymerization degrees declined slightly, show that the steam explosion treatment on fiber mechanical properties have an impact.4, explore the kenaf fiber degumming technology of oxygen alkali steam explosion. The chemical constituents and morphology of the fibers were analyzed by residual gel rate, fiber fineness, SEM and FTIR.. The results show that the steam explosion oxygen alkaline degumming process of kenaf fiber, smooth surface, good degumming effect, the ratio of cellulose increased significantly, reached 80%, hemicellulose and lignin removal effect is obvious, achieve good degumming of kenaf fiber, fiber fracture degree is improved. Steam explosion treatment on fiber splitting effect, increase the fiber splitting degree, improve the catalytic performance of chemical fiber, in favor of chemical reagents into the fiber, reducing the difficulty of degumming.In short, steam flash blasting technology can effectively improve the kenaf fiber structure, improve the fiber splitting, crystallinity and chemical properties, the improvement of kenaf fibers can be spun and broaden its application field is of far-reaching significance. Steam explosion alkali oxygen combined degumming effect is good, quality of kenaf fiber, and low energy consumption, low pollution to the environment is a worthy of further exploration of new technology.
