In MQ ethylene plant, the sewage treatment capacity is 700m3/h.The main source of wastewater contains 500-600m3/h industrial wastewater and 100-200m3/h sanitary sewage. After being treated through oil separation + adsorption + microorganism degradation technology, the effluent can reach the second grade of “The National Integrated Wastewater Discharge standard(GB8978-1996).But the effluent dose not meet the standards of recycled water, so a deep treatment is necessary.The advanced treatment technology of mid-experiment is running sand filtration + catalytic ozonation + ozone disinfection. The mid-experiment researches the pollutant’s removal efficiency, which contains the velocity of sand circulation, the time of ozonation and the concentration of ozone. The removal efficiency of treatment in winter is under consideration. The result shows when the inflow is COD<100mg/L, SS<15mg/L,NH3-N<10mg/L,Oil<10mg/L.After advanced treatment, the effluent is COD<40mg/L, SS<15mg/L,NH3-N < 3mg/L,Oil< 1mg/L,which can reach the requirement of industrial circulating cooling water.The effluent can reach the first grade of GB8978-1996 after secondary bio-chemical treatment. The research uses the effluent as object to get economic, reasonable and feasible advanced treatment, which makes the effluent meet the requirement of industrial circulating cooling water,it has environmental benefits and economic benefits of a win-win situation.
