The cold rolling mill of Hangang Hanbao company has the world advanced production line of the cold rolling mill. It is a mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, computer technology in one of the system. Because of the high rolling speed of the mill, the rolling torque is large, so the vibration phenomenon occurs frequently in the process of high speed operation. Rolling mill vibration will make the board surface bright and dark stripes, greatly increased the thickness error of the strip. The vibration phenomenon seriously affect the quality of the product and the benefit of the enterprise.Rolling mill vibration problem is so complex that it is difficult to solve. So it is known as the "ghost vibration" in the industry. At present, many domestic and foreign experts have done a lot of research on this problem, but there is still no agreement on this issue. Dynamic model and mathematical model was established based on the F4 rolling mill in this passage. The dynamic analysis of torsional vibration of cold rolling mill based on MATLAB software on the impact of biting steel is carried out. In this way the vibration factor of F4 cold rolling mill is obtained and the improving scheme is put forward by us.This article mainly studied following contents:(1) Dynamic model and mathematical model of the main drive system of F4 cold rolling mill are established.(2) The natural frequency and the main vibration mode of the torsional vibration of cold rolling mill are calculated. Then we reach a conclusion that the system basically meets the design criteria of the rolling mill.(3) I simulate and analyze the torsional vibration of F4 cold rolling mill through MATLAB software, when the cold rolling mill is in the biting process of steel. First I make a dynamic analysis of the torsional vibration when the gap of connecting shaft is neglected or considered. Then the torque amplification factor TAF is calculated, and the vibration mode curve is drawn. At last the influence of the time and the gap of the bite on the torsional vibration of the cold rolling mill is discussed.(4) The experimental equipment was used to test the torsional vibration of cold rolling(5) mill. Then the reliability and accuracy of the results are verified by the comparison between the test results and the theoretical simulation results. At last, the main reasons of the torsional vibration of F4 cold rolling mill are obtained and the corresponding improvement scheme is put forward.
