Water flood development has been widely used in many fields. Compared with other development methods, high water flood efficiency, low costs, and ample supply have been its most important advantages. With entering the period of high water cut in numerous old fields, high water cut, high depression, and low water flood effect have been brought out. Because of these reasons, recovery ratio also declines. The final aim of oil fields is to increase recovery ratio through carrying out effect assessment. Therefore, carrying out effect assessment plays a significant role in practical production of oil fields, and forms a connecting link between the preceding and the following. In other words, it is not only a direct summary for previous development, but also a basic data supporter for future work. According to the result of the effect assessment, it can make a more scientific and reasonable scheme,In most oilfields, production decline rule was used, along with water drive characteristic curve and water cut, to analyze the performance data. Meanwhile, through analyzing the control of reserves for degree water drive, injection water retaining in reservoir, water drive index, formation pressure maintain level, and other indexes to estimate reservoirs. Then, results are used to change the development scheme.ZJ2 reservoir is a typical tectonic-litho trap type. With the increase of water injection development time, ZJ2 reservoir has entered the phase of development of medium high water cut. The reservoir has reached 85% comprehensive moisture content. Due to the effects of aeolotropy and other geologic characteristic, ZJ2 reservoir has produced some tough problems, such as high water cut, low recovery ratio, and high difficulty of development and so on. Based on the analysis of geological characteristic and development law, through analyzing water cut, water drive reserves control degree, injection water retaining in reservoir, water drive index, water injection rate, pressure maintain and utilization degree, evaluation of recovery degree and recoverable reserves, we use these indexes to predict the performance of future production and guide the next step of oil production work.
