Low permeability reservoirs reserves account for more than 65% of China’s proven oil reserves, so in the future for a long time low permeability reservoirs will be as the main resource base which can increase our country reserves and production. While the complicated geological characteristics and percolation characteristics of low permeability reservoirs lead to low permeability reservoirs generally low recovery and development difficulty. The underground geological conditions of Low permeability reservoir generally with low porosity, low permeability reservoir as the main characteristics, and low original formation pressure, the energy supplement insufficiency, so in the low permeability reservoir development work is characterized by low single-well production, low efficiency and generally. Seven Mile Village Yanchang Oilfield Oil Production Plant is one of the earliest development of China’s oil fields, dating back over a hundred years of exploration and development history. In recent years, with the deepening of the geological work and the progress of reservoir reconstruction, then the extra-low permeability, shallow burial of reservoir characteristics and hydrocarbon enrichment patterns caused widespread concern. In this paper, firstly analysis the geological characteristics, structural characteristics, fluid characteristics, reservoir characteristics and reservoir characteristics, then fully demonstrate the effect of the area development, finally put forward the advanced water injection, cyclic waterflooding, vibration displacement and foam flooding which are more suitable for the area long 6 low permeability reservoirs. By contrast the clean fracturing fluid performance evaluation and the air foam flooding theory, combined with air foam flooding work experience in well surrounding area, it can be drawn that long 6 low permeability reservoirs can significantly improve the oil recovery through foam flooding which may serve as an important means to improve the development effect of long 6 low permeability oil reservoirs in the next 10 years.
