The preparation of rare earth doped luminescent materials is an important content in the study of rare earth,the rare earth ion has a multi level characteristic, and can generate down conversion and up conversion luminescence under the excitation of the excitation light source.In the process of preparing rare earth luminescent materials, the suitable matrix material for rare earth ions is needed,most of the previous studies have focused on the low phonon energy of the matrix, such as fluorine oxide glass, glass ceramics, microcrystalline materials, etc., but less research in high energy silicate glass.In order to prepare the colorless transparent luminescent glass samples, this paper uses the traditional high temperature solid state method to prepare the ultra white silicate glass doped with different kinds of rare earth ions,among them, Ce3+, Tb3+, Sm3+, Dy3+ doped glass to prepare the glass sample with the function of the conversion of light emitting, up conversion glass samples doped with Yb3+, Tm3+, Er3+, Ho3+, Pr3+ five kinds of rare earth ions.The luminescent properties of the glass samples were characterized by fluorescence spectrometer.The fluorescence spectra of the single doped samples showed that the rare earth ions Ce3+, Tb3+, Dy3+ and Sm3+ were able to emit visible light through the conversion of UV light, and had good luminescent properties;and fluorescence spectra of Ce3+ and Tb3+, Sm3+ and Dy3+ double doped glass samples showed that the double doped glass samples were able to emit visible light under excitation light.And through the analysis found that samples in the presence of Ce3+, Tb3+ non radiative energy transfer and the radiation and absorption energy transfer, Dy3+, Sm3+ energy transfer process, double doped rare earth glass also has better conversion luminescence properties.By testing the effect of the glass cover plate of the solar cell panel on the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the cell, it is proved that the prepared down conversion samples have good luminous performance.The up conversion glass sample was pumped by 980nmLD to test its up conversion luminescence properties.The single doped up conversion glass sample has no up conversion fluorescent properties except for the Yb3+ doped other samples under the 980nmLD pump.Yb3+, Tm3+ double doped glass can be pumped out of strong 477nm peak, 654nm and 975nm weak peaks under 980nmLD.The strength of the three emission peaks can be increased by increasing the content of Yb3+ in the glass samples.The relationship between the fluorescence intensity and pump power was also studied in the process of Yb3+ and Tm3+ in the experiment.By adding F- ions and Li+ ions and Al3+ ions into the glass samples doped with Yb3+,Tm3+ showed that F- and Li+ in silicate glass can significantly improve the up-conversion fluorescence intensity, especially F-, but Al3+’s effect is not obvious.
