As a traditional Chinese medicine, houttuyfonate is important to the application of antibacterial, anticancer, anti-inflammatory improve immunity, and many aspects. Houttuyfonate is the main active components of houttuynia cordata. However, in practical applications typically use houttuynine sodium sulfite which the properties more stable, activity did not change because of the unstable chemical properties and low contents in houttuynia cordata. Houttuynine sodium sulfite in clinical medicine major in injection, capsules, adhesives, tablets, and other formulations are widely used in lung cancer, influenza, chronic pharyngitis, and other illnesses.The purpose of this study is to synthesize the houttuynine derivative, get stronger than houttuyninesodium derivative of bioactive compounds, and make a contribution to the future of Houttuyfonate drugs. The main work of this paper:1. Using water bath heating, with ethyl formate and sodium metalas raw materials, respectively with 2-nonanone, methylnonyl ketoneand 2-tridecanonereaction, got capryloyl acetaldehyde sodium sulfite,houttuynine sodium sulfite and new houttuynine sodium sulfite, and by IR spectra and 1H-NMR method for the compounds have been characterized.2. Using water bath heating, with capryloyl acetaldehyde sodium sulfite,houttuynine sodium sulfite and new houttuynine sodium sulfite as raw materials, selection and also has good biological activity of 4-aminoantipyrine reaction, got three Schiff base compounds, and by elemental analysis, IR spectra, UV spectra, 1H-NMR method for the compounds have been characterized.3. To Houttuyfonate as ligand, selected the 6 kinds of rare earth nitrate, namely, respectively with neodymium nitrate, praseodymium nitrate, nitrate ytterbium, bait nitrate, europium nitrate, terbium nitrate under the conditions of water bath heating reaction getting six corresponding complexes: [Ln2(C12H22O2)6(H2O)2](SO43[Ln=Tb(1), Eu(2), Nd(3), Pr(4), Yb(5), Er(6)](C12H22O2=Decanoic acid acetaldehyde). By elemental analysis, IR, UV, and fluorescence analysis method for this series of rare earth complexes have been characterized.
