Recently, Porous Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) emerge attractive applications in the areas of gas storage, separation, luminescence, pollutant removal, drug delivery heterogeneous catalysis and biomedicine owing to their diverse structural topologies and functional sites. So in this paper we selected two organic ligands:[1, 1’-biphenyl]-4,4’-dicarboxylic acid (H2BPDC) and 1,3, 5-benzene(tris)benzoate (H3BTB) and RE(NO3)3·6H2O constructed a series of RE cluster MOFs. These MOFs structure characteristics were confirmed by X-ray single-crystal diffraction data analysis, PXRD data analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, elemental analysis and ICP-OES. Then we discussed properties of these MOFs. Four chapters were included in this paper:In the zero chapter, we introduced the current progress of metal-organic frameworks and the significance and the progress made in this paper. In the first chapter, we choice H2BPDC and RE(NO3)3·6H2O (RE=Tb, Eu, Er) synthesized three Rare Earth-organic frameworks with the formulas (DMA)2[RE6(μ3-OH)g(BPDC)6]-x(solvent) [RE=Tb (1), Eu (2), Er(3), H2BPDC=[1, 1’-biphenyl]-4,4’-dicarboxylic acid]. We discussed the crystal structure and then we investigated the property of dye removal. Therefore, we studied the luminescence property of 1 and 2, the result shown that the compound 2 could sense the dibromonaphthalene and Fe3+. In addition, the compound 1 and 2 can serve as barcoded material. In the second chapter, the solvothermal reaction of Y(NO3)2·6H2O with 1,3, 5-benzene(tris)benzoate (H3BTB) lead to yield a colorless crystals (DMA)2[Y9(μ3-OH)8(μ2-OH)3BTB6]n·(solv)x (gea-MOF-1). Then, the property of pollutant removal and luminescence were investigated by gea-MOF-1In the conclusion, we have summarized the structures and property of these MOFs.
