As a developmental area, membrane separation technique has been applied in the modern industry. As a branch of the membrane separation technique, pervaporation still has widely significance for the mixture that is not very easy to separate from each other. Lots of research work has be done and got successful, such as the separation of the phenol, the purification of the hydrogen and so on. Although polysulfone and polyacrlonitrile are the common material, the urgent task is to find new material.Recently, little work was focused on polyester(PET). In this work, the effect of the PDMS, TAOS and DD on their forming membranes is introduced. It shows that with the increasing of the PDMS, separation factor increases and flux decreases. With the growing of the content of the TAOS, separation factor decreases and flux increases gradually. The change of the content of catalyst has no effect on the separating property, but makes the flux decreased. The best method to prepare the PDMS composite membrane is reached. The effect of the content of the ethanol, the pressure under the membrane and the temperature to the PDMS composite membrane is investigated. With the growing of the ethanol separation factor, flux doesn’t follow the linear relationship, which is different from the foregoing result. Separation factor increases first and then decreases, but the flux decreases first and then increases. But to the effect of the temperature and pressure under the membrane the trend varies in line. With the increasing of temperature, the separation and the flux increase by degree, which is contrary to the pressure under the membrane. In the course of preparation, the membrane was filled with silica hydrated to make the separation performance better. It was found that tetraethylorthosilicate(TAOS) with the dibutyltindilaurate could accelerate the dispersion of the silica hydrated. But the dibutyltindilaurate could not accelerate the dispersion of the silica hydrated. Beside the pervaporation performances of the PDMS composite membrane filled with silica hydrated were investigated. It shows that the separation factor is higher than the PDMS composite membrane.
