It never changes that the characteristic of energy structure is mainly manifested as being short of gas, poor in oil resources and rich in coal in china. At the epoch of energy shortage which reflects in being lack of natural gas and short of oil, it rightly draws wide attention to use and upgrade lignite in a reasonable way. As lignite can generate much pyrolysis products when being upgraded at a high temperature, it has been highly pursued and admired by researchers to use high temperature to upgrade lignite. However, upgrading lignite at a temperature below 300℃ has been out in cold. The main theme of my paper is:study on lignite drying characteristic at low temperature in the background of heat and power cogeneration.First, this paper studies the principle, scheme, and technology of lignite upgrading, and puts forward an idea of combining heat and power cogeneration and drying lignite at a low temperature together based on the relevant technology trend of development of cogeneration. The author analyzes the functional groups by studying the chemical component and working with the data coming from the experiment of lignite.Second, this paper analyzes the drying and decomposing characteristics of lignite at low temperature below 300℃ and the release law of CH4,CO2 and CO,at the same time, and discusses the effects of drying at low temperature on the characteristics of lignite with the help of drying experiments.By conducting the experiment of lignite drying and decomposing experiment at the working condition between 100℃ and 200℃, this paper fits with the experimental data from the elemental analyzer and presents the drying and decomposing characteristics of lignite at low temperature and manifests that the front analysis conclusion is absolutely credible and authoritative.
