In recent years, the social and economic rapid development of Chongqing City, the acceleration of the urbanization process has caused serious water pollution, which has become a serious problem to restrict the sustainable development of social economy in our district. In the meanwhile, the improvement of wastewater treatment technology has enabled the process of urban sewage treatment to be optimized, and the improved technology has been applied in many areas.However, the selection and improvement of wastewater treatment process should be based on the existing conditions of wastewater treatment plants. Therefore, it is of great significance to select the wastewater treatment technology which is suitable for our district to meet the discharge requirements.Chang shou District of Chongqing municipal sewage treatment plant sources, mainly from the chemical industrial park wastewater and urban residents living sewage. A large proportion of domestic sewage, sewage contains more difficult to degrade organic matter, while the content of nitrogen and phosphorus in the sewage is relatively high. Raw sewage treatment plant uses the A2/O process, due to the process of gentrification and phosphorus removal function is poor, resulting in the sewage discharge can not be stable standards.In this paper, the defects of the previous wastewater treatment in the plant are analyzed, and the improved process of A2/ O process is proposed. After taking some measures to improve the quality of the wastewater discharge as follows:(1 The inverted A2 / O method based on the classical A2 / O process is applied, and the anoxic zone is placed in front of the anaerobic zone. 2 the method of increasing the quantity of microorganism in biological reaction tank and the method of stuffing the oxygen consumption zone in biological reaction tank are adopted; adjustment of the proportion of the anaerobic zone, anoxic zone and oxygen consumption zone is made.), the quality of the treated wastewater has been improved to a certain extent. From the improvement of the data obtained from the wastewater treatment plant, especially nitrogen and phosphor, basically reached the "Urban Sewage Treatment Plant Pollutant Discharge Standard", it is proved that this process is in line with the development needs of the wastewater treatment plants.
