Rock mass is defined as a geological body with particular composition and structure. It was formed in long geologic period and hosted in a certain geological environment. Natural jointed rock mass usually contains different types of discontinuities such as faults, joints, fractures and bedding planes. Many joints with variant trace length distributed in jointed rock mass in a complex manner.The joints made the mechanical properties of rock mass nonlinear, discontinuous,heterogeneous, anisotropic. So getting the equivalent mechanical parameters of jointed rock mass is crucial in the analysis, evaluation and design of practical rock engineering. The main research works and conclusions are summed up as followed.(1) Rock of mechanical assay at-390m level of Jiaojia gold mine. Rock of mechanical assay mainly consists of point loading test and indoor rock mechanics test. We can get compression strength of jointed rock mass at-390m level through point loading test. Indoor rock mechanics test includes uniaxial compressive test, tensile test and so on. Mechanical properties of deep rock can be got by different kinds of test.(2) Structure plane information investigation of jointed rock mass at-390m level of JiaoJia gold mine.We can get structure plane information which inclues occurrence, line density and so on through 3 GSM survey.(3) Evaluation of rock mass quality. Strength calculation of rock mass and quality classification of rock mass at-390m level are carried based on generalized modified Hoek.Brown criteria on the basis of the above researches. Rock mechanics parameters obtained and rock.mass classification results provide the range of mechanics parameters for rapid parameter inversion to make sure inversion results are right.(4) Developing Software IRFO. IRFO accomplishs automation and intellectulization of parameter inversion and promotes efficiency of parameter inversion.(5) Intelligent back analysis of mechanics parameters of jointed rock mass. IRFO is used to reverse mechanics parameters of jointed rock mass of route roadway at-390m level to obtain reasonable mechanics parameters. Posterior variance examination based on grey systems theory is adopted to check the merits of inversion results.
