The materials which are liquid state at a room temperature or near the room temperature are named room-temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) or room temperature molten salts. The RTILs is the perfect substitute of conventional solvents owing to its highly conductivity, wide electrochemical widow, neglectable vapor tension and special solubility. Studies of RTILs accord with the development of green chemistry, and are paid great attention to by the researchers all over the world in recent years.Ionic liquid-crystalline polymers are the polymers, which contain at least one ionic centre, similar by composition to the structure of commonly used ionic liquids, as a covalently bonded part of their constitutional repeating unit, with promising applications in many fields.In this dissertation, three monomers were synthesized. There are 4-(allyloxy) cholester-olbenzoate (M1),2-fluoro-4-(allyloxy) cholesterolbenzoate (M2), cholesterol acrylate (M3). They were grafted to linear polymer-thyl-hydrogen-siloxanes or 2,4,6, 8-Tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane with 4-Bromo-l-butene (BB). Three series of liquid crystalline polymers (LCPs) with different chemical characters were synthesized. Linear-chain liquid crystalline polymers were P1 and P2 series. Annular liquid crystalline polymer is P12. P1、、P2、P12 were mixed with three kinds of imidazoles. Four series of Ionic liquid-crystalline polymers containing bromide ion were obtained. The four series of polymeric ionic liquids were dispersed in fluoroboric acid and hexafluorophosphoric acid. Eight series of polymeric ionic liquids were obtained.The chemical composition and liquid crystalline properties of monomers and polymers were characterized by use of various experimental techniques such as FT-IR spectroscopy, 1H-NMR spectroscopy, polarization microscope (POM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray diffraction analysis. The specific conductance of polymeric ionic liquids was proved to be good through four probe method. Research contents in this paper not only have important theoretical significance, but also have provided certain theory basis and the necessary technical support for the further study of ionic liquids in ionic conductors, and the application of catalyst, etc.
