According to the topic, kind of automatic welding machine is studied to weld finned heat in this paper. Finned heat welding consists of water box-wire head welding and tube-plate welding. This paper focuses on the design of mechanical structure and electrical control system. Special numerical control welding machine of heating pipe-plate adopts GMAW, and the welding speed is 280-400mm/min.The mechanical structure design of special numerical control welding machine of heating pipe-plate included special welding machine overall frame design, three-dimensional trajectory system design, fixture design, etc. Fixture design involves the design and location of cross worktable, pipe-plate fixture, water box-wire fixture, welding torch fixture, cylinder, motor, ball screw etc. And the design of special welding machine involved the welding torch pipe installed and fixed, the design and Install of the welding torch fixture, the location of the welding torch pipe easier adjusted, the positioning welding torch and welding seam easier achieved. At the same time, it also gave the location and fixture structure of the artifacts and the design scheme of the equipment of the whole structure. Motion mechanism consisted of the cross worktable and control system, which realized the welding torch three-dimensional movement.In the design of electrical control system, this topic adopted two kinds of programmable logic controller, which included the CPU226 H of the SIEMENS series and XL12-30 three axis Numerical control system. And special welding machine adopted step-motor driver, solenoid valve and relay and so on, which accomplished the control procedure of the step-motor, the pneumatic fixture, the welder and so on. Based on the requirements of the welding process, the welding speed should be controlled. Special numerical control welding machine of heating pipeplate applying the inductance type of the approach switch controlled the position range of the welding torch. The control of the welding starting and stopping is realized through the control of the relay. In the XL12-30 three axis numerical control system, the method of line interpolation, clockwise circular interpolation, anti-clockwise circular interpolation is used to write pipe-plate circular welding seam and water box-wire head programs. Control system with the CPU226 H the Trust CTSC-200 Series as core, and TD200 as human machine interaction, then forming three axis welding machine automatic control system. Programmable logic controller CPU226 H has four high speed pulse output points. And stepper motor driver drove stepper motor to realize the welding torch three-dimensional movement and automatic welding process. Based on CPU226 H, the design of teaching program is completed. The debugging and running of system indicated that the control system of the welding machine meets the requirements of the heat tube-plate welding and provided new equipment for the heat tube-plate welding. If we replaced the fixture, the equipment also can meet the needs of more automatic welding field.
