The photocatalytic properties of TiO2 attracts much research attention. In this thesis, we prepared composites between TiO2 and ZnFe2O4/Tourmaline, intending to develop the photocatalytic, hydrophilic and lipophilic multi-functional composite materials. The main results are summarized as follows:The TiO2-ZnFe2O4,TiO2-Tourmaline,and TiO2-ZnFe2O4-Tourmaline composites have been successfully prepared via a sol-gel method, and its composite films have been deposited on the glass slides through dip coating process.The composites was characterized by XRD, XPS, FT-IR, SEM, TEM, and UV-vis DRS. Moreover, the photocatalytic property of the composites was evaluated by the degradation simulation of Rhodamine B. The hydrophilic, lipophilic, transparency and anti-fogging properties of composites film were also characterized.Phase analysis showed that, after heat treatment at 400 ℃ for 2 h, the diffraction peaks of anatase appeared in the TiO2-5%ZnFe2O4-5%Tourmaline sample. After heat treatment at 600 ℃ for 2 h, the diffraction peaks of anatase became sharper. The higher the heat treatment temperature is, the better the crystallinity of the sample becomes. Microstructure analysis showed that the addition of ZnFe2O4 and tourmaline hindered grain growth of the TiO2, making the grain size decreased, while the specific surface area and surface roughness increased. UV-Vis DRS showed that, the absorption edge of the TiO2-7%ZnFe2O4-3%Tourmaline composite widened to 600 nm. The simulation of degradation experiments showed that, the TiO2-1%ZnFe2O4-7%Tourmaline composites have the best photodegradation of Rhodamine B. The as-prepared composites have increased energy efficiency and have a relatively good photocatalytic effect.The hydrophilic properties of these composite films were characterized by measuring the contact angle. After heat treatment at 300 ℃ for 2 h, the contact angle of the TiO2-1%ZnFe2O4 was 14o, and the contact angle of TiO2-1%ZnFe2O4-3%Tourmaline was 0o. After heat treatment at 400 ℃ for 2 h, the contact angle ofTiO2-1%ZnFe2O4 was 5.5o. After heat treatment at 500 ℃ for 2 h, the contact angle was 4o for TiO2-1%ZnFe2O4and 1o for the TiO2-1%Tourmaline.Thus, the composite ZnFe2O4-tourmaline-TiO2 has improved hydrophilic properties, and the higher the heat treatment temperature is, the better the hydrophilicity becomes. The Three kinds of composite film also showed good lipophilic properties by measuring the contact angle. In addition, TiO2-ZnFe2O4-Tourmaline composite films show a good anti-fogging properties; the light transmission rate is above 70%. The study on the TiO2-ZnFe2O4-Tourmaline composites may inspire the development of photocatalytic,hydrophilic, lipophilic multifunctional of TiO2 composite materials.
