Aluminum alloy is widely used in package, food and construction industries, a more precisely controlling the microstructure is required to ensure a high quality and structure of the produced finishing products. AA1235 is a kind industrial pure aluminum, which contains minor Fe and Si. Thus, the distributions of chemical composition in AA1235 have an important influence on the microstructure and mechanical properties. Researching the impurities such as Fe、Si element composition and distribution in AA1235 have a great influence on improving the structure and performance. In our experiment, we used electrochemical corrosion and chemical corrosion to study the element composition and distribution in AA1235. Aluminum alloy and precipitation are analyzed by metallographic microscope and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The volume fraction of the second phase in aluminum alloy can be obtained by the Matlab software. The results show that the volume fraction of second phase in aluminum alloy can be achieved by using electrochemical corrosion; the particle distribution of second phase in aluminum alloy can be achieved by chemical corrosion. The composition and distribution of Fe、Si are available through electrochemical and chemical corrosion, the results can provide theoretical basis and guidance for the production of high-performance aluminum alloy.
