With the rapid development of global industrialization, in China, the demand of metal resources is gradually increasing. Therefore, faced with the status quo which mineral resources is increasingly scarce. It is of great significance to strengthen comprehensively recovery of copper, zinc, nickel, cobalt and other valuable metals, which comes from acid leaching solution of low grade ore and complex multi-metal mineral. This study targeted copper, iron, zinc, nickel, cobalt in the sulfuric acid leaching solution, we systematically studied the extraction behavior of copper, zinc, cobalt, nickel by solvent extraction method. Eventually, we established a hydrometallurgical separation technique route. The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1) We systematically studied the separation of copper from acid leaching and extraction mechanism. Firstly, we explored the optimum conditions of extraction of copper using extractant CP180, including the p H, extractant concentration, time, and the stripping concentration of sulfuric acid, stripping phase, stripping time etc. The experimental results show that: at room temperature, p H 1.5, concentration of extractant CP180 is 10%, extraction time for 5 min and extraction phase(O/A) is 1:1. At this time, copper extraction rate was 98.44%. When the concentration of sulfuric acid is 200 g/L, stripping time for 6min, stripping phase(O/A) is 1:1, the stripping rate of copper is 96.30%. By slope method to determine the composition of extracted complex, and then determine the extraction reaction equation; by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) to study the structure of extracted complex in organic phase; the extraction reaction enthalpy changes are determined by thermodynamics.(2) We systematically studied separation and recovery of zinc in acid leaching solution. Firstly, after extraction of copper, it is necessary to remove iron in the raffinate. We use P204 as extraction agent for extracting zinc, explored the optimum conditions of extraction and back extraction and concentration of interference of nickel and cobalt. The experimental results show that: at room temperature, p H of 4.0, the concentration of the extraction agent P204 is 30%, the extraction time for 5min, and the extraction ratio(O/A) is 1:3, the extraction rate of zinc is 94.44%. When stripping sulfate concentration is 100 g/L, extraction time is 6 min, stripping phase(O/A) is 1:1, the concentration of zinc in the stripping solution is 1.94 g/L. Compared to starting zinc concentration, it enriched three times.(3) We systematically studied separation and recovery of cobalt and nickel in acid leaching solution. Using saponified P507 as extraction agent, the separation of cobalt and nickel was achieved by controlling the p H and the concentration of extraction agent. The experimental results show that: at room temperature, p H of 2.0, the concentration of P507 is 8%, the extraction time is 5min, the extraction ratio(O/A) is 1:3, at this time, the extraction rate of cobalt is 87.80%, and the nickel is not extracted. When the sulfuric acid concentration is 8 g/L and the stripping time is 6 min, the reverse extraction rate is 98.56%, the concentration of cobalt in the solution is 1.56 g/L, the nickel concentration is substantially zero, at last, we realize the separation of cobalt and nickel.
