Styrene carbonate is widely used in medicine and chemical industry as a good solvent, so synthesis of styrene carbonate has been a popular research area. Compared to organic synthesis, electrochemical synthesis methods of styrene carbonate have more advantages including mild reaction condition, easy separation of products and so on. As a result, the research direction of electrochemical method for synthesis of styrene carbonate has enormous potential. So far, the research of catalytic synthesis with racemic styrene oxide and CO2 to optical active styrene carbonate has been reported rarely. Therefore, this dissertation mainly studies electrochemical asymmetric synthesis of styrene carbonate with racemic styrene oxide and CO2 as the substrate. For the first time, the composite electrode prepared with MIL-125 material and metal material was applied for the asymmetric synthesis of styrene carbonate reaction.(1) Asymmetric electrosynthesis of styrene cyclic carbonate from recemic styrene oxide by (R, R) Co (II)-salen.This experiment conducted in a chamber type electrolytic cell, styrene carbonate is synthesized using styrene oxide as the substrate, (R, R) Co (Ⅱ)-salen as inducers, under carbon dioxide environment, with the method of constant current. In order to obtain high yield and ee value, to improve the experiment path, and to explore the problem of product configuration inversion in one-step system, two-step synthesis process is proposed for the first time, which helps to further understand the induction process. In the experiment, the influence of quantity of electricity, electrolytic temperature, mixing time on the asymmetric synthesis of styrene carbonate yield and the ee values is investigated.(2)Asymmetric electrosynthesis styrene carbonate on the MIL-125 material composite electrode.At the basis of one-step process in a chamber type electrolytic cell, composite electrode prepared with MIL-125 material and metal materials is inducted. Using this kind of composite electrode in electrocatalysis, styrene carbonate is synthesized using styrene oxide as the substrate, (R, R) Co (Ⅱ)-salen as inducers, under carbon dioxide environment, with the method of constant current. The influence of the different load value of MIL-125, the temperature of the synthesis of MIL-125 on the reaction and resuablility of the composite electrode have been discussed. Contact with the characteristics of MIL-125 material, the catalytic ability of MIL-125 for this reaction is explained.(3)Asymmetric electrosynthesis of styrene carbonate using composite electrode preparated by other material.The possibility of the MIL-53 materials, MIL-53-RGO and iron-carbon nitride composite fiber used in electrochemical asymmetric synthesis of styrene carbonate is. discussed preliminary. The yield of related experiments and ee values demonstrate that MIL-53 and MIL-53-RGO materials had certain catalytic action for asymmetric electrosynthesis of styrene carbonate.
