Quaternary ammonium salts used as a commonly used germicide with advantages of broad-spectrum, low toxicity, and washability, and etc. They are widely used in textile finishing, cosmetics, medical disinfectants, dental restorations and other fields. Positively charged long chain quaternary ammonium salts can be adsorbed on to the negatively charged surface of bacterial cells, and then can spread to the cell walls and penetrate the cell wall, and combine with the cell membrane to destroy the structure of the cell membrane, and then lead to potassium ions within the cell membrane, DNA, RNA and other substances leak until the cells death. This article will take a long carbon chain quaternary ammonium support to organic silicon, non-silicon-based fabric finishing agent and the hydrogel mask molecular chain to increas their bactericidal properties. The specific contents are as follows:(1) A new type of organic silicon long chain organic quaternary ammonium salt fabric softener (VPEQ18) was synthesized by solution polymerization using hydroxypropyl acrylate (HPAA) and allyl polyether epoxy (APE500) and 18 tertiary amine as the raw materials, andazodiisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as initiator. Using infrared spectrum to characterize, and the analysis shows that VPEQ18 has expected design chemical structure. Using softness, crease elasticity tester, and automatic color difference meter to research the application performance of VPEQ18, and eventually determine the cotton size is 6cm×10cm, VPEQ18 emulsion dosage (30%) for 3 g, curing temperature is 180℃, the curing time of 90s process conditions, fabric can reach the ideal soft, smooth, and antibacterial effect.(2) Use α,ω-PHMS-6、AEPCand AEH300 by hydrosilation addition reaction preparing the intermediate and then with octadecyl tertiary amine (Q18)by ring-opening reaction preparing organosilicon quaternary ammonium fabric softening agents germicidal (QBPEAS). Performance test and microstructure observation concluded that:After the QBPEAS lotioned, the fiber fabric has film-forming surface, and the surface becomes smoother.The fiber fabric has good soft feel, whiteness and elasticity. Antibacterial tests show that after the QBPEAS lotioned fiber samples have certain antibacterial activity to Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli and the inhibitory rate reached more than 99%.(3) Use siloxane octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4), vinyl double head (D2v1) as raw materials, tetramethylammonium hydroxide (THMA) as catalyst to synthesize crosslinking agent (α,ω-VPS).Usehydrogen-containing polysiloxane (PHMS, Si-H content of 0.08; viscosity of 0.16-0.18Pa.s) and the eighteenth tertiary amine (Q18) quaternization reaction to obtained part quaternized product(QPHMS),and then with a crosslinking agent α,ω-VPS crosslinked we can get the network structure of an antimicrobial silicone hydrogel. The reaction product was subjected to structural characterization and performance testing,and the test results show:when n(C=C):n(Si-H)=0.6 in AEH300 and PHMS, and n(C=C):n(Si-H)=0.8 in a,co-VPS and QPHMS the quaternized silicone hydrogelintermediatesynthesized with α,ω-VPS and QPHMS has the best tensile elongation, swelling, water retention rate and antibacterial.
