With the increase of disposal scale of the urban sewage treatment plant, emissions of sewage sludge also increase. Many municipal sewage sludge in treatment plant is transported to the municipal solid waste landfill after being dehydrated. Due to the high water content and organic composition, most of the landfills choose to be filled with separate sludge piles. Sewage landfill reservoir filled with separate piles lowers its bearing capacity. Combined with base and surface waterproof measures are not in place, it makes the stability in the sludge landfill bottom descend, prohibits landfill operation, and eventually reduces landfill original design capacity. In this paper, a municipal sludge landfill is used as the research object, through the mechanism analysis of various methods and the advantages and disadvantages of the method to study the appropriate sludge reservoir reinforcement treatment scheme. And the possibility of the new reinforcement technology is studied through the indoor model test, which can provide a useful reference for the disposal of municipal sludge landfill.Firstly in this paper, by analyzing the current situation of the actual sludge disposal field, we have mastered sludge stacking conditions of sewage treatment plant, and realized the problems of sludge stacked field. Combined with urban sludge stacked field’s reinforcement requirement, analyses of various disposal principles and methods as well as advantages and disadvantages also have been made. The method of vacuum preloading drainage consolidation in-situ treatment is proved as the best method of strengthening and disposal through systematic and comprehensive analyses. Secondly, this paper expounds the principle and applicable conditions of the traditional vacuum preloading method, associated with the physical and mechanical characteristics of the sludge landfill accumulation body, and points out that the traditional vacuum preloading method may meet the unsuitable conditions, and then puts forward the vacuum preloading strengthening technology by using the super well point method (SWPM) plus breathing apparatus well. The improvement technique principle of vacuum preloading method is also described, and also the improvement technology plan is given in this paper. Thirdly, through the indoor model test, the effect of vaporization on the vacuum preloading is verified. And the attached water in the pores of the soil is eliminated. The experiment also verified the advantages of SWP in the replacement of the drainage plate and the promoting effect of the setting of the breathing apparatus on the strengthening disposal of the weak foundation with sludge characteristics.
