The greenhouse effect caused by carbon dioxide emissions has become the focus of global attention and the high carbon energy structure determines that China’s low carbon economy development must be faced with great difficulties and challenges. The development of low carbon economy is the only way for China’s future, but at the moment we need to guard against the low carbon trap behind the low carbon economy. China is faced with a trade-off between carbon emission reduction and economic development.Based on the study of carbon emission market, carbon trading price and carbon trap, this article makes a deep research on the shadow price of carbon emission. By introducing the carbon dioxide into Douglas production function, we make the principal component regression analysis of the shadow price of carbon emission and the conclusion shows that the shadow price of carbon emission in China is increasing. This shows that the cost of economic growth will be increased for the reduction of the unit of carbon emission. Therefore, in the International Conference on climate change China should advocate energy-saving emission and keep sustainable economic development. In the base of reasonable and enforceable carbon emission reduction objectives, and the "common but differentiated convergence" emission reduction mode, we should develop the carbon trading mechanism vigorously, establish the perfect price formation mechanism, accelerate the technology innovation of low carbon energy emission reduction and improve the carbon tax policy in order to realize the win-win of carbon emissions and economic development.
