Thiol pyrimidine and its derivatives are widely exist in nature and participate in the activities of life, which contain N, S atoms and can coordinate witha variety of metal ions to form many compounds result from the diversity of its own structure. This class of compounds with novel structure have been extensively studied and many have been applied in anti-fungal,anti-tuberculosis, anti-tumor and enhance immunity, etc. In this paper, we choose Thiol pyrimidine and its derivatives as organic ligands coordinated with different transition metal ions to form three categories of compounds and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, Infrared Radiation spectra(IR), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), the fluorescent,the iodine adsorption, etc. The main contents are as follows:(1) Two compounds based on Hpymt and Hompymt ligands have been successfully synthesized under solvethermal conditions, namely, Ni(pymt)2]n(1) and[Co(ompymt)2(PPh3)2]n(2), which characterized by Infrared Radiation spectra(IR),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). In compound 1, two adjacent NiII ions and four pymt-ions connected with each other formed a dimer [Ni2(C4H3N2S)4], the adjacent dimers connected byμ2-pymt-formed a one-dimensional chain and the adjacent 1D chains connected through theμ2-pymt-formed a 2D layered structure eventually. In compound 2, the adjacent Co II ions connected by μ2-ompymt-formed a four-yuan chelate ring, the chelate ring connected with two PPh3 moleculars formed a zero-dimensional structure and the adjacent zero-dimensional structures connected with each other by O···H formed a 3D supramolecular network structure.(2) Three compounds based on Hmpymt ligand have been successfully synthesized under hydrothermal conditions, namely, Derivative skeleton of 2-mercapto-pyrimidine(3),{(Cu4Br4)[Cu6(mpymt)6]}n(4) and {(Cu6I6)[Cu6(mpymt)6]}n(5), which characterized byInfrared Radiation spectra(IR), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and fluorescence detection.Complex 3 was a disulfide compound formed by reacting between two Hmpymt ligands; In compound 4, the adjacent CuI ions connected by μ4-mpymt-and μ2-Br formed a chelating structure, the chelating structure connected by Cu-N formed a 3D supramolecular network structure; In compound 5, the adjacent Cu I ions connected by μ4-mpymt-, μ5-mpymt-and μ3-I formed a one-dimensional chain. We also characterized the fluorescent detection analysis of compound 4 and 5, and found that compound 4 and 5 have good fluorescence quenching for2-nitro-toluene(2-NT) and nitrobenzene(NB).(3) Two compounds based on Hpymt and Hmpymt ligands have been successfully synthesized under solvethermal conditions, namely, [Pb(pymt)2]n(6) and [Pb(mpymt)2]n(7),which characterized by Infrared Radiation spectra(IR), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In compound 6, the adjacent PbII ions connected by μ2-pymt-and μ1-pymt-formed a one-dimensional chain, the adjacent 1D chains connected through the interaction of PbII ions formed a 2D layered structure and the 2D layered connected by the molecular interaction(π…π) formed a 3D supramolecular network structure. In compound 7,the adjacent PbII ions connected by μ1-mpymt-formed a one-dimensional zig-zag chain and the adjacent zig-zag chains connected by molecular interaction(π…π) formed a 2D layered structure. We also discussed the structural differences of compounds 6 and 7 because of the substituted of methyl and studied the iodine adsorption of compounds 6 and 7, we obtained that the iodine adsorption amount of compound 6 is 0.089 mg/mg and compound 7 is 0.0998mg/mg.
