The formaldehyde in indoor air damaged indoor environment severely and had a great effect on human life and work, so the task of purifying formaldehyde wastegas is very difficult. This paper introduced the nature, source and harm of formaldehyde, as well as the current traditional methods and new methods of purifying formaldehyde, and compared the advantages and disadvantages of these methods. The paper chosen wire drum reactor, used dielectric barrier discharge to generate non-thermal plasma and combined with adsorption catalyst for purifying formaldehyde wastegas.Under the condition of no adding adsorption catalyst, the paper discussed the effect of non-thermal plasma on formaldehyde purification rate and studied the effect law of discharge voltage, frequency, inlet concentration, inlet flow, electrode material type and diameter on formaldehyde purification rate; Under the condition of no discharge, the paper discussed the effect of different adsorption catalysts on formaldehyde purification, select the optimal adsorption catalyst and studied the effect law of its dosage on formaldehyde purification rate; Under the condition of discharge combined with adsorption catalyst, the paper discussed the effect of joint action and adsorption catalyst modification on formaldehyde purification rate and studied the effect law of Cu percentage of modified adsorption catalyst on formaldehyde purification rate.The results showed that formaldehyde purification rate reached a maximum of 88.8% under the experimental condition of discharge voltage 40 kV, frequency 80 Hz, inlet concentration12.5ppm, inlet flow 2.5 L/min, copper bar electrode, electrode diameter 4 mm, adsorption catalyst 31 ml 10% Cu/HZSM-5 molecular sieve, discharge time 30 min. Based on the single factor experiment, the paper used discharge voltage, frequency, electrode diameter and Cu percentage of modified adsorption catalyst for the factors to design four factors three levels orthogonal experiment, in order to get the best way of purifying formaldehyde.After completing experiment, the paper analyzed formaldehyde purification mechanism, made a summary according to the experimental results, and put forward outlook according to the existing problems.This study provides a new process method and theoretical basis for indoor formaldehyde purification.
