3,3’-iminobis(N,N-dimethylpropylamine is an important chemical raw materials, can be used as polyurethane catalysts, curing agent of epoxy resin, epoxy curing catalyst and also used for the pharmaceutical intermediates and synthesis of surfactant. In this paper, Dimethylaminopropionitrile and 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediamine were used as raw material,3,3’-iminobis (N,N-dimethylpropylamine) were obtained by catalyzed synthesis of nano bimetallic catalyst.For Dimethylaminopropionitrile and 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediamine to synthesis of 3,3’-iminobis(N,N-dimethylpropylamine, We adopt impregnation method for the preparation of nano bimetallic catalyst, active component of metal palladium and nickel were loaded on the γ-Al2O3. Compared with the traditional Pd/γ-Al2O3 catalyst, Pd-Ni/γ-Al2O3 showed better catalytic activity. We join Ni in the preparation of catalyst and the use of Pd was significantly reduced. We used X-ray diffractometer (XRD), X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy (XPS), and the projection electron microscope (TEM) to characterize the catalysts. In the Pd-Ni/γ-Al2O3nano bimetallic catalyst, we confirmed that the activity component dispersed on the surface of the carrier, the addition of nickel increased the dispersion of Pd, and determine the metal palladium and nickel formed the Pd-Ni nano bimetallic alloy, double metal catalyst exhibited more excellent catalytic ability and stability. In hydrogenation coupling reaction, The catalytic activity and selectivity was assessed in our study, also examines the hydrogen pressure, reaction temperature, dosage of catalyst on the hydrogenation coupling reaction. After a great deal of experimental research, The Pd-Ni(1:2)/γ-Al2O3(the mole ratio of Pd:Ni) as catalyst, the reaction without solvent, hydrogen pressure was 2.0 MPa, the temperature was 120 ℃, dosage of catalyst was 2.0 wt%(the total mass of raw material), Dimethylaminopropionitrile and 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediamine conversion rate is 40% and 3,3’-iminobis(N,N-dimethylpropylamine selectivity as high as 90%.
