Organic heterocycles have always been the focus of organic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, and material science. Many organic heterocycles are extracted from natural products, because of its good biological activity such materials grasped much more of the scientific community’s attention and concern. Pyrroles and pyridines are top priority of research by scientists. Many pyrrole or pyridine ring containing compounds have a lot of efficacy such as strong biological activity, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, drug treatment of diabetes, analgesic and so on. It can be said that people’s normal life is inseparable from such compounds. To this end, researchers continue to explore the new methods that using simple readily available starting materials and under mild environmental conditions to synthesis pyrroles and pyridines. This has been the focus of attention in the field of scientific research. In this paper, we analyzed the methods of pyrroles and pyridines synthesis detailedly. We developed a new way to synthesis pyrroles using aryl amines and aryl acetaldehyde under mild conditions. As well as research on new method of using oxime esters and triethylamine synthesis pyridines. Specific studies are as follows:We developed a kind of reaction using aryl aldehyde and amines compounds reach to pyrroles. Through experimental study on the various reaction conditions, including the type of catalyst, type of solvent, reaction temperature, duration and gas atmosphere, eventually obtained the optimal reaction conditions. This method only use cheap metal copper as a catalyst at the temperature of 40 oC which effectively give the products. After the experiment of substrate expanding, we found that the reaction conditions on the substrates have a good adaptability, and active functional groups can be stable existed. In addition, we have made a preliminary study on the reaction mechanism by designing controlled experiments. Moreover, we have had research on pyridines synthesis using oxime esters and triethylamine. The results show that just 50 mol % iodine as catalyst can obtain efficient products. The advatages of this method are simple and mild conditions, good substrate compatibility.
