The thickness of cold rolled strip is an important index to measure the quality of strip. Tension control plays a very important role in the automatic thickness control of rolling mill. Double stand reversing cold rolling mill is a single stand reversing cold rolling mill and multi stand continuous cold rolling mill. It has the advantages of high yield and high efficiency of the single stand reversing cold rolling mill products, and it has the advantages of high output and high efficiency. Due to its low investment(compared with multi stand rolling mill), high efficiency(compared with the single stand reversing cold rolling mill), dual machine stand reversing cold rolling mill in our country has a very good development prospects.Although the reversible cold rolling mill with double stand has a good performance, it is higher than that of a single stand reversing mill and multi stand tandem mill. Both the reversibility of the single stand and the continuity of the multi frame continuous rolling mill. Design of rolling mill control system using distributed design. Rolling line using two level computer control to set aside three level automation control interface.Which secondary for process automation, process design engineer and electrical engineer station, process automation mainly completes process engineer pre setting parameters of mill and rolling program storage,material tracking, accident alarm display and print, and other functions; a basis of automation, basic automation PLC mainly completes sequential logic control, transmission equipment speed setting control, hydraulic AGC control, unit tension control.System design due to the large amount of data, selection of Siemens S7-400 series programmable controller, the selection of Siemens 6RA70 DC driver, remote I / O for et200 m. PC configuration software to choose SIEMENS Step7-5.4. PLC and PC communication with industrial Ethernet, PLC, transmission equipment and remote I/0 communication between the use of SIEMENS communications Profibus-DP.Through on-site testing and application results show that is proposed in this paper to design method can effectively to the plate thickness, tension,plate type and the rolling line speed control, rolling mill in the trial operation stage can reach 70% of full load, with wide application prospect.
