Lakeshore is the transitional zone between the lake ecosystem and the terrestrial ecosystem. It is also the bridge and the link of substance circulation, energy exchanges and information transfer between the lake ecosystem and the terrestrial ecosystem. It plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the lake ecosystem structure and function. With the interference of human activities gradually enhancing, the lakeshore ecosystem degeneration has become a worldwide phenomenon. Subsequently, the ecological restoration of the lakeshore becomes a research hot spot. Because of the spatial heterogeneity of the lakeshore, different lakeshores need different restoration plans. The function zoning of the lakeshore is the base of the restoration and reconstruction. The type classification and ecological sensitivity analysis contribute to the ecological quality evaluation and the function zoning of the lakeshore. They can also contribute to the restoration and reconstruction of the lakeshore.Nansi Lake locates in the southwest of Shandong Province. It is the largest freshwater lake and the important water source in Shandong Province. It is also the major regulation and storage hub in the east route of Water Transfer Project from South to North. The superior geographical position makes the human interference very strong. Since the 1980s, the water quality has been deteriorating year by year because of the pollution. The wetland area was decreasing and the ecological environment suffered serious damage. Nansi Lake is badly in need of restoration and reconstruction. The present study of Nansi Lake concentrated in water management, wetland restoration and reconstruction, analysis of organism impact on environment as well as the tourism development. It lacked the overall study of the lakeshore in Nansi Lake, especially the type classification and the ecological sensitivity analysis. Therefore, this research selected the appropriate classification index based on the field survey of all the lakeshore in Nansi Lake and used GIS technology for exploratory research of the type classification. Through this, I established a two-level classification system in view of the lakeshore in Nansi Lake. I also collected the length of each type and analyzed their characteristics. I chosen the type of agriculture-forestry-grass as an example, the estuary type, agriculture type, and the type with construction land as the first restoration lakeshore. The research finds that there is a serious landscape fragmentation in Nansi Lake. It urgently needs for ecological restoration and protection.I analyzed the ecological sensitivity on the selected 59 sites in the lakeshore of Nansi Lake with the index system of ecological sensitivity analysis. Summing all factor scores in each study site, I obtained the comprehensive ecological sensitivity scores of each study site. Again combining with GIS technology, I completed the function zoning of the lakeshore in Nansi Lake. The whole area divided into three functional areas-the high, medium and low ecological sensitive zones. According to the result, the ecological sensitivity of lakeshore in Nansi Lake is high. The maximum area is in the southwest, the minimum area is in the middle and the medium sensitive area is widely distributed. This result is basically in line with the result of the type classification of the lakeshore in Nansi Lake.At last, I designed different restoration plans for different zones and different types of lakeshore based on the result of function zoning in order to provide basis for the ecological restoration of Nansi Lake. The type classification and the ecological sensitivity analysis can improve the efficiency of the research and the reconstruction in ecological restoration. It can also provide technical support for ecological restoration of Nansi Lake. Furthermore, this research can play a role of reference for the research of type classification, ecological sensitivity analysis, ecological quality evaluation and function zoning in other similar lakes.
