In recent years, the Songhua River, whose water environmental suffered from pollution accidents, has been widely concerned in China and abroad. The Songlin section in the Songhua River is a Jilin-Heilongjiang provincial cross-border section. For transboundary water pollution problem has become increasingly sensitive under the current circumstances, to build water quality models of Songlin section will help the government and relevant departments analysis water conditions and causes of pollution. We constructed Songlin section WASP model, then make necessary processes to spatial data files with GIS technology. After integrated regional meteorological and spatial data, we finished HSPF model data conversion implementation. The non-point source load of ammonia nitrogen and BOD5 can be obtained in HSPF model systems after ammonia fertilizer application amount input. Then the WASP-HSPF model can generate the water quality status of Songlin section from 2010 to 2012. The final results of simulation error analysis proved the consistency of the model is good.After further analysis of non-point source loading, linkage can be found in non-point source loading and rainfall trends. With increased precipitation, surface runoff increases, the amount of material loss of surface nutrients increases. After the concentration contribution rate analysis, we found the upper stream of Songlin section offered the most significant contribution while non-point source pollution to a minimum. Meanwhile, we can see that the water quality of Songlin section is not sensitive to nonpoint source pollution. However, the non-point source pollution itself must not be ignored. Water quality assurance of the upstream runoff is the key of controlling the Songlin section. After the analysis, the advices can be generated. First, regional cooperation should be active; Secondly, we should strengthen point source emissions control in Songyuan City while upgrading the water treatment technology in Songyuan.Finally, control the chemical fertilizers and pesticides appliance to improve soil quality in the study area in order to achieve non-point source pollution load control.
