As “Auxiliary reagent”, polyacrylamide has important application background in water treatment, oil production, papermaking and other fields. Polyacrylamide(PAM) is a kind of white powder material, swelling in water to form a thick liquid translucent solution. But it is difficult to dissolve in the organic solvents such as benzene, ether, ester and so on. Its water solution concentration measurement is the basic index of the field application. Optical measurement method belongs to the non-contact and on-line measurement technology, the application prospect is bright. The optical properties of wastewater containing polyacrylamide(referred to polymer sewage, the same below) are the basis of its chemical composition analysis and concentration optical measure. Therefore, it has important application value and academic significance to study spectral characteristics and optical concentration measurement of polymer sewage for guaranteeing the smooth running of sewage treatment in various industrial fields. This article explored the optical detection method of polymer sewage concentration, measured the transmittance spectrum of different concentrations of polyacrylamide solution, analyzed the ultraviolet visible spectrum and infrared spectrum characteristics, got the refractive index and absorption index of polymer sewage through the new model of optical constant inversion, and studied the concentration optical measure. The specific research contents are as follows:1. Based on the double thickness inversion model we structured double thickness optimized inversion theory model, measured the spectral transmission characteristics of window-liquid-window three layer optical cavity by conventional optical measurement, measured distilled water transmission spectra and optical constants then verified the newly-built model among the waveband of 2500~2750cm-1.2. Used conventional optical measurement method to measured the transmission spectra of three-layer optical cavity with polymer sewage, analyzed its spectral transmission characteristics in ultraviolet-visible and infrared band, got its optical constants among 200~220nm and 2400~2800cm-1, and inversed the transmission characteristics of polymer sewage among 200~220nm.3. Considered the mineralization of oilfield produced water, we analyzed the spectral characteristics influent rule about Na+、K+、Mg2+、Ca2+、Cl-、HCO3-、CO32-、SO42- to Lab-grade and industrial-grade polymer sewage.4. Analyzed the spectral transmission characteristics of polymer sewage optical cavity among 190~900nm and 400~4000cm-1, fitted the relationship between spectral transmission characteristics with the sewage concentration of polyacrylamide by linear, quadratic polynomial and cubic polynomial methods. Based on the spectral transmission characteristics of optical cavity to inverse the spectral transmission characteristics of polymer sewage, linear fitted between spectral transmission characteristics with polyacrylamide concentration at 220 nm, and analyzed the error range.Through the study, we got polymer sewage optical characteristics, developed the concentration measurement technology of polymer sewage based on the optical methods, received the rule about the inorganic ions influence of polymer sewage optical measurement, the methods and results of this study could provide certain reference to progressing the optical methods for concentration of polymer sewage online detected.
