In this study, wood cellulose was dissolved in ionic liquid 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([AMIM]Cl) and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([BMIM]Cl). The regenerated cellulose membrane was prepared with the NaOH/urea/thiourea/water system, lithium chloride/DMAc system and ionic liquids [BMIM]Cl. The preparation and properties of regenerated cellulose membrane was discussed. The nano-TiO2/cellulose composite membrane was prepared in the best solvent system and its properties were discussed. The primary results were as follows:1. The dissolving properties of wood cellulose in [AMIM]Cl and [BMIM]Cl. Under the condition of minimum damage to fiber molecular chain, it shown that ionic liquid [BMIM]Cl displayed better dissolving ability. There were no derivatization of cellulose occurred with the regenerated cellulose. However, the crystal form changed from cellulose â…  to cellulose â…¡, the crystallinity and the degree of polymerization was reduced.2. The regenerated cellulose membrane was obtained in three solvent systems. The study found that the regenerated cellulose membrane with higher polymerization degree and flatness, better flexibility and good transparency, and the advantages of the good mechanical properties in ionic liquid [BMIM]Cl than others, its tensile strength is 79.1MPa, but its thermal sTableility was lower.3. The hydroxyl on the C6 of cellulose structure unit was oxidation by TEMPO oxidation method, meanwhile, prepared Nano-TiO2 particle by gel-sol method, then deposited it on the surface of the cellulose of carboxyl. TiO2/fiber composite membrane was prepared in ionic liquid [BMIM]Cl. Results showed that the composite film has strong absorption to ultraviolet ray after adding TiO2 particles, but hydrophilic and mechanical properties of the composite membrane showed a downward trend with the increase of TiO2 particle.
