Firstly, the ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitory activity of the strain QS670 in the reconstituted skim milk and the tolerance of artificial gastric intestinal juice was determined. Secondly the effect on blood pressure of SHR(spontaneously hypertensive rats) and the survival situation in the intestinal tract were discussed. The results show that the ACE inhibitory activity of strain QS670 in the reconstituted skim milk was 72.53±0.54%, after digested by artificial gastric intestinal juice the viable growth rate was 29.15%. The blood pressure of SHR declined when they were lavaged by the fermented milk produced by QS670 with different does. When the dose was 10ml/kg, the blood pressure declined from 25.39±0.82 kPa to 22.89±0.41 kPa, the descend range was 2.5±0.41kPa, so it was the best lavaged dose. After lavaged the blood pressure declined from 24.76±0.47 kPa to22.43±0.39 kPa gradually, the descend range was 2.33±0.65kPa, then it rebounded.slowly. When the SHR were lavaged by fermented milk and milk serum, the descend range was 2.07±0.24 kPa and 1.57±0.63 kPa, so the antihypertensive effect of the fermented milk was better than the milk serum. When the SHR were long-term lavaged, the blood pressure declined 1.30±0.13kpa gradually in a week. The strain QS670 was separated from the stool of the rats which were lavaged with the fermented milk produced by QS670,based on the results of the 16Sr DNA,QS670 and the isolated strain were the Lactobacillus plantarum,so the strain can through the gastrointestinal tract to the lower digestive tract.
