This article used chitin after stripping acetyl chitosan in nature can be bio degradable as the starting material, though cation of modification, using cationized chitosan combine to dye anions form insoluble macromolecules in the dyeing wastewater dye precipitation down, and efficient adsorption in dyeing wastewater of dye molecules and other compounds containing anionic groups. Experimental part design synthesis of chitosan cationic quaternary ammonium decolorizer, first of all synthesis of 2,3-epoxypropyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(GTA),in organic solvents of quaternization reaction of cationic chitosan quaternary ammonium salt. Go to the treatment of dye solution by chitosan quaternary ammonium cation generated, so as to achieve the decolorization of dye solution. Specific experimental contents include: To explore the different route for the synthesis of GTA and final comprehensive experimental conditions and yield to determine the trimethylamine(TMA), hydrochloric acid and epichlorohydrin as reaction starting materials, first synthetic GTA, then to GTA is a quaternary ammonium agent, in organic solvents in synthetic shell chitosan cationic quaternary ammonium salt. The effects of different synthesis conditions on the degree of substitution were studied. The influencing factors were the ratio of reaction to feed, different solvents, reaction temperature, and the p H value of the initial system.The essay discusses the molar ratio of CTS/GTA, swelling time, synthesis temperature and reaction time on chitosan quaternary ammonium salt cationic substituted degree of influence, and to dye wastewater decolorization performance of, after a series of orthogonal experimental method selected better reaction conditions. The experimental results show that the CTS/GTA molar ratio of 1:3, the initial reaction system p H value of 6, water and isopropanol volume ratio of 3, the reaction temperature is 60℃to 80℃, the cationic chitosan quaternary ammonium salt of substituted degree is relatively high. The molar ratio of CTS/GTA is 1:3, the swelling time is 50 min, the synthesis temperature is 60 ℃, the reaction time is 10 h, the product in this reaction conditions has good property of decolorization of direct dyes and acid dyes.
